Customer has been using out of box reporting that came with the Dynamics CRM sales solution. With the growing business and consumer base the customer wanted to get deeper insights into its sales pipeline to better target its end consumers. Having partnered with us on various key projects, the Customer asked VNB Consulting Power BI team to put together a Power BI sales dashboard reporting solution to get deeper and comprehensive insights out of the Dynamics CRM Data.

Our team kicked off the project with discovery of the current sales processes and reporting. After discussions with key sales stakeholders a list of key KPIs such as opportunities created, opportunities won\lost, site visits, sales pipeline etc. were finalized for the new Power BI reporting solution. The Power BI team followed an agile approach with multiple sprints and user stories to get constant feedback from sales stakeholders. An automated integration process was created with CRM system leveraging on-premise data gateway to load data into Power BI service. A flexible data model was created using Power BI desktop to support the end reports and dashboards. Various dashboards were created for key sales stakeholders. Robust row level security mechanism was implemented to restrict access as per user profile.
