They offer natural gas, electricity, propane, and related products to residential, commercial, and industrial clients. They also provide energy-related services such as energy efficiency solutions, renewable energy, and Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) services. Their goal is to provide reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy solutions to their clients.
The customer faced several challenges in managing their financial data and tracking expenses. The absence of proper Opex and Capex reports made it difficult for them to analyze the financial performance of projects, activities, engineers, and vendors. They lacked visibility into actual and forecasted spending for both operational expenses (Opex) and capital expenses (Capex). This hindered their ability to effectively control costs, optimize resource utilization, and track labor expenses. These reports enabled the customer to gain real-time financial insights, effectively manage expenses, and optimize resource allocation. The Opex reports focused on tracking operational spending, employee hours worked, and other key performance indicators. Meanwhile, the Capex reports provided visibility into capital project expenses, vendor payments, and important project milestones. Both sets of reports were designed to be easily understandable and accessible to various stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and financial analysts.
