Customer is global boutique merchant bank focused exclusively on technology, media and telecommunications. Customer provides sell-side, buy-side, private placement, merger, joint venture, defense, fairness opinion, special committee, intellectual property, capital structure and IPO advisory services. It offers services exclusively to digital, media & entertainment and sports & lifestyle companies.
Customer was looking to build a website quickly on COVID-19 as resource center for internal employees and external clients. Customer wanted to send the portal invite to a list of clients/partners, who could be able to register and login to their portal to access COVID-19 content/updates at one place. They also needed a Contact Us Page for any enquiries from their clients/partners.
Our team proposed Power Apps Portal as the technology choice for the proposed portal. With the secure way to authenticate and using providers like Microsoft, the proposed solution was fit for purpose. Since being a low code portal, our team was able to deliver the solution in matter of days. The team prepared documentation for adding users to the Portal App so that even non-IT team members were able to easily import the list of Portal App users in Model Driven App. They also put together a custom workflow using which the customer was able to send a portal invitation to all prospective. The team configured a Contact Us Page leveraging Power Apps Portal entity forms and enabled a workflow for the message to be sent to a distribution list in an email along with logged in user contact details in turn enable the customer to be able to get to any inquiry almost real time manner. We customized the Portal landing page to be the sign-in page and the Portal accessible only after proper authentication. To enable rapid content addition on the portal, the team created custom Page Templates.
