It is a private, non-profit organization that is consistently recognized for its innovative programs for women and infants and one of the largest delivery services in the U.S.
Customer had a reporting solution that was tied to the Meditech EMR system which made any reporting or enhancement request time consuming and costly. Customer wanted a modern data warehouse which would allow to bring in data from multiple systems and for better reporting solution. After a few initial discovery sessions and analysis, Customer and our team decided together that STAR schema would make most sense and sped up the design of the facts and dimensions. Together as one team, the team decided on best approach on how data for the labour and delivery module could be brought in to the DW and what is needed in the Power BI model for reporting solution. All aspects such as data volume, performance, scalability, usability, security, sharing and collaboration were discussed, and solution designed.
